Dannible/McKee and Associates Announces Dates for Fall Seminars on Successful Ownership Transition for A/E Industry Professionals

SYRACUSE, NY – October 5, 2016 – Dannible/McKee and Associates, Ltd., a national leader in consulting for the architectural/engineering profession, is offering a comprehensive one-day seminar on Successful Ownership Transition for the Design Professional this fall, from October 14, 2016 – November 9, 2017 in five nationwide locations. This seminar is directed towards partners, shareholders and associates in architectural, engineering and planning firms who need to value their firms for internal sale, acquisition and/or merger. Attendees will receive professional credit (7 Learning Units for architects and 7 Professional Development Hours for engineers) while learning the strategies of ownership transition, proper methodologies for valuation and partaking in a comprehensive case study analysis program. The Firm's fall seminars will be offered on the following dates and locations:

October 20, 2016 – San Francisco, California
October 21, 2016 – Las Vegas, Nevada
November 1, 2016 – Denver, Colorado

November 9, 2016 – Atlanta, Georgia

Registration for each seminar will begin at 8:00 AM, and each session will run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The $695 registration fee includes the seminar, advance handout materials, a comprehensive workbook, lunch and coffee breaks for each attendee. Dannible/McKee and Associates will offer a 20% discount for each additional registrant from the same design firm. For those who have registered but cannot attend, a full refund will be allowed up to 20 calendar days before the seminar. Attendance at each seminar will be limited and early registration is encouraged.

Attendees will learn from the nation’s leading architecture/ engineering consultants, Michael J. Reilly, Victor W. Vaccaro, Jr. and Deborah E. Finch who are experts in valuing design firms and structuring effective long-term plans for ownership transition. These experts will lead seminar attendees through an engaging day of in-depth learning, including topics such as the methodologies of valuing a firm, techniques for ownership succession and transfer, proper selection of a buy-sell agreement and funding a transition plan.

Michael J. Reilly, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFF, CDA is President of the firm Dannible/McKee and Associates, Ltd. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), a Certified Design Accountant (CDA), was awarded the AICPA's Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation and is a member of the American Society of Appraisers. Combined with several years' experience in corporate tax consulting, business valuation, acquisitions and mergers, Reilly has gained a national reputation in valuing and developing ownership transition plans for professional design firms. He is heavily involved in providing litigation support for testimony in valuation court cases and has developed an expertise in utilizing employee benefit plans and life insurance for ownership transition planning.

Victor W. Vaccaro, Jr., CPA/ABV, CFF, CDA is a principal with over twenty-four years’ experience providing valuation, accounting and consulting services for Architectural and Engineering Firms. He regularly performs valuations for mergers and acquisitions, internal ownership transfers and transactions with Employee Stock Ownership Plans. In addition, he specializes in performing business valuations for financial reporting purposes. Vic provides consulting services in the areas of ownership transition, industry benchmarking, profitability enhancement, improved budgeting and strategic planning initiatives. He also assists clients with matters related to their overhead rate in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Deborah E. Finch, CPA, CVA, CDA is a principal of the firm Dannible/McKee and Associates, Ltd. Prior to joining Dannible & McKee in 2004, Finch spent 10 years in private industry. She is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Design Accountant (CDA). Finch is extensively involved in the Firm's business valuation and litigation support practice. She serves as a liaison to Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms on business valuation and ownership transition issues and assists in the development of business valuation studies and in structuring ownership transition plans for closely held professional practices. Finch received her undergraduate degree from Le Moyne College and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.
