Dannible/McKee and Associates Hosts Nationwide Seminar on Successful Ownership Transition for A/E Industry Professionals

SYRACUSE, NY – January 27, 2015 – Dannible/McKee and Associates, Ltd., a national leader in consulting for the architectural/engineering profession, is offering an intensive, comprehensive one-day seminar on Successful Ownership Transition For the Design Professional from January 29 – March 26, 2015 in eight nationwide locations. This seminar is directed towards partners, shareholders, and associates in architectural, engineering, and planning firms who need to value their firms for internal sale, acquisition and/or merger. Attendees will receive professional credit (7 Learning Units for architects and 7 Professional Development Hours for engineers) while learning the strategies of ownership transition, proper methodologies for valuation, and partaking in a comprehensive case study analysis program. Registration for each seminar will begin at 8:00 AM, and each session will run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The $625 registration fee includes the seminar, advance handout materials, a comprehensive workbook, lunch, and coffee breaks for each attendee. Dannible/McKee and Associates will offer a 20% discount for each additional registrant from the same design firm. For those who have registered but cannot attend, a full refund will be allowed up to 20 calendar days before the seminar. Attendance at each seminar will be limited and early registration is encouraged.

Attendees will learn from the nation’s leading architecture/ engineering consultants, Michael J. Reilly, Richard J. Maxwell, and Victor Vaccaro, Jr., who are experts in valuing design firms and structuring effective long-term plans for ownership transition. These experts will lead seminar attendees through an engaging day of in-depth learning, including topics such as the methodologies of valuing a firm, techniques for ownership succession and transfer, proper selection of a buy-sell agreement, and funding a transition plan.

Michael J. Reilly, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFF, CDA, is a principal at Dannible/McKee and Associates, Ltd. He was awarded the AICPA’s Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations, is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and is a member of the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Reilly is also a Certified Design Accountant (CDA). Combined with over 30 years of experience in corporate tax consulting, business valuation, acquisitions and mergers, Reilly has gained a national reputation in valuing and developing ownership transition plans for professional design firms. He provides litigation support in valuation court cases and has developed an expertise in utilizing employee benefit plans, incentive compensation plans, and life insurance for ownership transition planning.

Richard J. Maxwell, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFF, CDA is a principal at Dannible/McKee and Associates, Ltd. He was awarded the AICPA’s Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations and is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Certified Design Accountant (CDA). Mr. Maxwell brings over 20 years of corporate tax consulting experience together with his business valuation and ownership transition consulting services for A/E firms across the country.
